RED-WHITE-AND-FRIENDS
Beth Allendoerfer has donated dozens of brightly-colored quilts to Project Linus and various other organizations. She buys extremely nice fabric and shares the leftovers with her thrifty friends.
When Beth (pictured above at right) made the beautiful bias star quilt, she gave me (pictured at left) a shopping bag with all her scraps. I added whites from my collection and a border and, voila--a colorful pinwheel was the result. Both quilts have been donated to soldiers and their families at Walter Reed Hospital.
Beth plans to relocate from Maryland soon, but this photo will be a reminder of a special collaboration among friends.
