Member Blocks
If it fits in your schedule, please make blocks for the following members to show appreciation, congratulations or just to help cheer them up. The patterns can be found by clicking here. All blocks, except where noted (e.g. single 2-1/2 strip), are 6-1/2" unfinished, 6" finished (for the Magic 9-Patch pattern, start with 7-1/2" squares of fabric to end up with 6-1/2" unfinished blocks.)
Thank You Blocks for departing guild officers (entered May 02, 2010, updated May 04, 2010):

(entered before May 02, 2010):
Anne Troy—Friendship Block: Anne has moved back to Pennsylvania, so we will be doing farewell blocks for her. She has asked for batik or batik-like fabrics and white.
Monica Thomas—Magic Nine Patch: For diligently being our webmistress for so many years, she doesn't want something for herself! She wants to make auction quilts to raise funds for dog rescue groups. You can help by making 6-inch finished (6˝" unfinished) Magic Nine Patch blocks in dog fabrics, or doggy theme fabrics like fur, tennis balls, even hearts or whatever you like. All colors are happily welcomed.
Dawn Byrd: Dawn feels worse than before she had her first surgery, when we gave her pink heart blocks. She'd love to hear from our members.
Roma Knee—Heart Blocks: Roma had a steel rod surgically inserted into her leg. She'd like heart blocks of either YOUR favorite fabric or of cats, on a white background.
Carolyn May—Heart Blocks: Carolyn had recent surgery for ovarian cancer. Please make her purple, blue and/or green hearts on a white background.
Aurelia Dett—Heart Blocks: Aurelia is a former FCQ member with a long recovery time from back surgery. She would like bright batik hearts on bright batik backgrounds.
Mimi Dietrich—Heart Blocks: Maria O'Haver found that Mimi recently had surgery as a result of breast cancer—her second time. If you have an opportunity, make a heart block for her and send to: Mimi Dietrich, 1337 Brook Road, Baltimore, MD 21228. We've chosen 7-inch cream square with the colors of a traditional Baltimore Album quilt.
Nancy Murdock—(New) Friendship Block: Nancy has retired and is moving to Michigan, probably in the spring. She prefers pink, blue or purple with white.
